We traveled 24 hours beyond the Arctic Circle and then 8 hourse across the tundra by snowmobile to a Nenet village.

Elya - the young Nenet man is a wonderful new Christian and loves God very much. We came to help him share God's love with his people.

Elya's passport:

In Russia everyone is required to carry an "internal passport" which has his residence, marriage data etc. Since Elya goes back and forth to civilization, he must have a passport. The authorities came up with an unusual idea for his address. His address is listed as Tundra, Russia. That is his post office address!! It stretches for thousands of miles across northern Russia. I wondered if FED-EX could deliver here!

I had explained to one mother about the necessity to keep skin lesions clean and dry. I ask if she had any soap. She did and immediately she washed the child's face by "spitting" on the cloth and rubbing it with the soap then the child!! Next we put Neosporin cream on the wound...just to "be sure".
